上 田泰司,中 村 良一,鈴 木 譲:放 射線医 学総合研究所 海洋放射生態学研究部 茨城県那珂湊市磯崎町3609 〒311-12 Marine organism/CF/Sediment The concentration factors of 106Ru-106Rh and 137Cs for a marine bivalve and a alga were investigated. Furthermore, the transfer ratio ([cpm/g of organism] /[cpm/g of sediment]) of these nuclides from contaminated sediments to organisms was examined . Then the concent ration factors were compared with the transfer ratio to know the relative influence of sea water and sediments on the contamination of marine organisms . The obtained figures, we call the biological factor of the sediments (BFS), were 70 and 160 for red alga and bivalve on 137Cs, and 5400 and 2900 for them in case of 106Ru-106Rh, respectively . These figures were comparable to those for annelid worm, 40 on 137Cs and 1000 on 106Ru-106Rh.

Review of Heavy Metal Accumulation in Aquatic Environment of Northern East Mediterrenean Sea Part II: Some Non-Essential Metals
Heavy metals that enter marine environment and remain in the water as well as the sediments are accumulated by aquatic organisms, thus becoming highly good indicators to monitor metal accumulation in the long run. Metals are potentially harmful to humans and most organisms at varied levels of exposure and absorption. Northern East Mediterranean Sea is a crucial region as it is an area, shared b...

متن کاملHeavy Metals in Water, Sediments and Marine Oorganisms (Saccostrea cucullata) of the Chabahar Gulf, Oman Sea (Iran)
Levels of the heavy metals Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Iron (Fe) and Manganese (Mn) were determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometer (Model 67OG) in coastal water, sediments and soft tissues of the Saccostrea cucullata, from the intertidal zone at five stations in the Gulf of Chabahar on the Iranian coasts along the Oman Se...
متن کاملAssessment of Accumulation and Potential Health Risk of Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, and Zn in Fish from North-Eastern Mediterranean Sea
Heavy metal accumulation in aquatic organisms has been an important issue due to environmental pollution resulting from anthropogenic activities. In this study, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, and Zn in the selected fish species (Mullus barbatus, Solea solea, and Siganus rivulatus) from three consecutive bays (İskenderun, Mersin, and Antalya from North-Eastern Mediterranean Sea) were considered to provide some...
متن کاملA survey on the accumulation of heavy metals as indicator of oil pollution index (Vanadium and Nickel) in bivalve rock oyster (Saccostrea cucullata) in Qeshm Island coasts
In this study, the amount of nickel and vanadium elements in the soft tissues of rock oysters (Saccostrea cuculata) and sea water from coastal areas of Qeshm Island, the biggest island of Persian Gulf located in the south of Iran, were measured to evaluate the contamination of the aquatic environment and organisms. Following the bioassay, weighing and chemical digestion of the samples, finally...
